Stonefly Nymphs teaches how to tie a golden stonefly nymph imitation according to each of four different imitation types: Suggestive, Impressionistic, Realistic, Exact. We begin with basic techniques, then progress through each ensuing type to learn techniques and proportions that will apply to many nymph imitations, and any stonefly type.
Tying Duck Flank Wet Flies, ties two similar wet flies, each from one lemon wood duck flank feather. We'll also tie a hybrid wet out of a mallard flank feather, which also has a dubbed head. The methods taught in this book will open up many additional options for wet flies tied primarily out of fibers from one feather, or by adding a few other elements. Lovely wets that fool trout!
