For over 40 years, trout, streams, insects and erxperience have taught me the information within holds true for most western freestone trout streams I've fished. While every trout stream has its own character, all have the insects presented in the book, and the fly patterns within continue to prove their mettle.I write with the idea that solid fundamentals apply to good fly fishing practices, and am hopeful they will serve my readers well.
