The Blacker Compendium is the first book I made in print form: it is not available in a digital format. Flies were tied by Bob Frandsen, and are based on one edition of William Blacker's 1855 book. Hundreds of copies have been sold world-wide to fly tiers interested in William Blacker and his fly tying genius. Bob's tying and this book rekindled an international interest in Blacker and his style, and inspired futher research, scholarship and publications to remember one of the most influential fly tiers in Classic tying history. $39.95

HIGH WATERS records my thoughts and observations of the Colorado Flood of September 2013 as my wife, Shan, and I experienced it from our home in the Big Thompson River canyon at Drake, and its aftermath as survivor refugees in Loveland, Colorado. Writing them, then making multiple edits, has illuminated and brought perspective to the shades of events that we witnessed, and how people - including Shan and I - responded to what society terms a disaster.
CREATIVE GEWE WET FLIES is a labor of love between two great friends. Geert Werbrouck tied all of the flies, and I wrote and created the book, available in print or Kindle format. The book is presently enjoyed by readers from around the world, and is available to you, as well. Hundreds of flies, a few tying tips, and light hearted jesting are found here, a testimony to fly fishing bringing kindred spirits together in pursuit of fly fishing fun.
Tying Shorts cover either a particular pattern or a fly type. At the left are Tying Trout Shorts; at the right Tying Classics Shorts. As is the case with other SOLUTIONS BOOKS, information is clearly stated and complete for the topic covered. Stay timed for additional short tying solution booklets.
